The WaMu Way: Another Option

May 5th, 2006 | by Molly's Brother |

I don’t have either a checking or savings account with them, but for those of you who are looking for a little help, Washington Mutual has some great offers going right now. Free checking. Free ATM. Free wire transfers (these usually run about $40). They’ll waive one overdraft fee per year. And, each time you use your check card to make a purchase, they’ll credit your account $0.03–up to $250 a year. (I for one don’t fall for this cashback “service.” Bank of America is doing a similar promotion. For some reason, I feel like there is a hidden benefit to the bank that comes at our expense. Although, I haven’t found it yet.)

Just something to think about as you re-organize your banking needs. Again, I don’t have an account with them, nor am I endorsing them. Just providing information.
