Great Article on Financial Solvency

Honestly, my point of this blog is to help people wake up and throw off the shackles of credit card debt or a “spend-everything-as-you-go” lifestyle.

I came across the The Not-A-Millionaire guide to financial security on CNN.com. The author details some of the points that I try to pound home week-after-week.

The author talks about the following:

  • Have a cushion (i.e. emergency fund)
  • Adopt a Pay-Off Strategy (She talks about purchasing items at zero interest, which I don’t buy–pardon the pun.)
  • Take Cover (See my posts on health/auto insurance here, here and here)

It makes me feel like I am on the right track when I see things I’ve written reflected in the mainstream media. Go me!
