AAA Car Insurance Rates

Finally, an insurance company that cares about the consumer. The Auto Club of California, the fourth largest insurance company, will base your car insurance rates on a slew of accurate standards–like your driving record–instead of your zip code. Interestingly enough, especially in big cities, the poorest individuals were paying the highest rates for their car insurance (because of their zip codes).

I did some research and recently joined Better World Club. If you switch from AAA (as I did) they charge you the same annual fee as you were paying for your AAA dues. The insurer they use (I think it’s Plymouth Rock or Prudential — it starts with a P…) gives a larger percentage discount than AAA does, so I’m saving $70.00 per year on my auto insurance now. This is in Massachusetts, where we have HIGH insurance rates. And if you have a bike, Better World Club has bicycle roadside assistance, too!
