    Great Sites for Deals

    By Molly's Brother | November 27, 2007

If you are like me, you enjoy buying new things, but you loathe shopping. I think most men are like this. Growing up, when I went shopping with my sister she would always find what she called the Boy Chair and sit me down. She would then go shopping and come back in ten minutes or so to pick me up from the Boy Chair. She was convinced that every store had these chairs so the boys could go and sit when they got bored.

Even now, in my 30s, I smile whenever I am in Macy’s and see a chair–er, the Boy Chair. I automatically think back to my sister.

I can’t stand malls. The minute I open the door, I get hit in the face with that artificial air that is pumped throughout the building. It is like a potion. Within five minutes, I want out.  Like most Americans, I have discovered the benefits of online shopping. Below are some of my favorite deal websites.

VickysDeals.com Vicky goes to great lengths posting such fantastic deals each and every day. When you head over, her daily deals are posted on the front page. But don’t stop there! This is simply a portal to an active forum filled with helpful moms and dads who don’t mind pointing you in the direction of a sale.

FatWallet.com Although much more professional, you end up finding many of the same deals posted here. Although a bit more extensive, its community does not seem quite as tightly knit as Vicky’s. Excellent place to find the latest deals, cash back offers, and coupons.

DealCatcher.com Let’s be honest. There are only so many stores out there! DealCatcher has many of the same offers. The one difference is that DealCatcher posts offers and deals that are tech or electronic in nature. It’s perfect if you need to find that special thing for the gadget guru in your life.

An additional note: I read this morning that retailers, afraid that their sales may be lagging this year due to the housing crunch, are rolling out extra specials on their online retails. So, if you are going to spend money this year, it might behoove you to do some research and compare prices offline and online.

      Hi Molly’s Brother,

I want to write a review for your blog at my debt community. Can you please allow us to do so?

Of course you can! Let us know when you post it, too. I am sure we’d be interested in seeing the site, as well.
